One of the things I remember about my trip to Oaxaca 2 years ago was the amazing street art. One of my missions on this trip is to hit the streets to photograph some of the images. What I’ve noticed so far though, is that there’s less now than before, (or I haven’t been wandering the right neighbourhoods). If I look hard enough under the many freshly painted walls, I can see the outlines of great works of graffiti which are now hidden. What I have found is a lot less political than the images that have been covered up. But I know there are gems still out there, and I’m hopeful I’ll find them.
I went for a short walk through the streets yesterday and here’s a sampling of what I found on the streets of Oaxaca.
